Synergistic Research designed and voiced the Atmosphere SX Ethernet to give streamed music an emotional connection that keeps you listening for hours, with holographic realism and detail. It carries the network signal between your router, switch and streamer. Compared with SR's earlier Ethernet Active SE, SR says it has a lower noise floor and higher resolution, and is more musically satisfying. Each cable is hand-built in SR's California factory.
HOW IT WORKS:

UEF Graphene Shield: two different UEF coatings with graphene are applied to the connectors, cabling and ground. SR says this lowers the noise floor and lets a purer signal through, with less grain and more warmth and detail.
Matrix Shielding: UEF elements are placed on a grid pattern across the cable shield. For Atmosphere SX, SR added new Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs to cancel the noise that makes high frequencies sound harsh or fatiguing.
New conductor alloy: chosen in double-blind testing for high-frequency extension that SR describes as always musical and never fatiguing.
Quantum Treatment: after assembly, the whole cable is treated with 1,000,000 volts at specific frequencies and pulse patterns. SR's SRX conditioning process sweeps through frequencies over long sessions, and SR built a new Tesla coil just to handle the heat. SR says this lets more low-level information through, for more realism.
UEF Blue treatment: a second conditioning step first developed for SR's Blue Fuses.
UEF Ground Plane termination, and each cable is listened to for signal direction before it is built.
OPTIONAL GROUNDING:
The shields on Atmosphere SX Ethernet can be grounded directly to earth, bypassing your components' power supplies for a lower system noise floor. For more, SR recommends its optional SR Ground Block with UEF Ground Filter, which can also star-ground your other components and SR cables.
