VH Audio was formed in 2003 by Chris VenHaus. His very popular DIY cable and interconnect "recipes" have been made by thousands of satisfied audiophiles worldwide, and have been regarded as benchmark designs among the DIY community since 1999.

The VH Audio logo incorporates a tuning fork, which represents purity of tone, and "fine-tuning" of your audio playback system.

Why we're different

Some of our competitors offer low "teaser" prices on items they do not stock, meaning a potentially significant delay before you receive your items. At VH Audio, we stock everything we sell. No drop-ship games or bait-and-switch tactics. We carry only genuine items and do not import counterfeit or cheap "knockoff" products from unscrupulous vendors. Design philosophy

VH Audio's design philosphy is to combine sound engineering with subjective evaluation. We feel engineering is a starting point, not the finish line. Over the years Mr. VenHaus has developed a network of audiophiles who help "beta-test" new products. These people are selected because they give straightforward and (sometimes brutally) honest opinions. The variety of gear owned by our beta-testers varies from high-powered solid state systems to flea powered tubed gear, and from a few thousand dollars to over $150,000 systems. Music tastes range from small scale ensembles or soloists to big bands and even heavy metal. If our products don't make it past these testers with rave reviews, they don't make it to you. The diversity of our beta testers also means VH Audio's products will not develop what's commonly known as a "house sound", which is the result of only a few people evaluating products on a limited number of systems.
