WHAT IT IS:
The Foundation SX USB is the entry point to Synergistic Research's USB cable line. It connects your computer, music server or streamer to your DAC. According to SR, it starts with a geometry closely related to its Atmosphere SX and Galileo Discovery USB cables.
HOW IT WORKS:
According to Synergistic Research:
- UEF compound and matrix shielding first developed for SR's flagship SRX cables, for a very low noise floor.
- SRX long-duration high-voltage conditioning, which SR says adds resolution, holographic realism and timbral accuracy.
- SR says the lower noise floor extends the highs while keeping them musical, for hours of fatigue-free listening.

- Dielectric: solid polyethylene
- Contacts: 24K gold-plated
- Shielding: dual silver Mylar/braid shield with Quantum Tunneled Ground Plane, Foundation UEF Graphene shielding
- Treatment: three-stage 1,000,000-volt Quantum Treatment, UEF Blue Fuse conditioning
- Burn-in: 5 days, two-step process
